Well, here's an unusual pair to be seen on the big screen: British action superstar Jason Statham has joined Melissa McCarthy in spy comedy SUSAN COOPER! To be directed by Paul Feig, the movie, which will be Feig's and Melissa's third collaboration after THE HEAT and BRIDESMAIDS, has a story following the adventures of an unlikely spy, Susan Cooper. Statham will play another spy with whom McCarthy will team up. It is interesting that while Melissa recently had THE HEAT movie with Sandra Bullock, Statham is scheduled to star in the remake of HEAT action movie which originally starred Robert De Niro. He is also playing a villain in FAST AND FURIOUS VII!

TOPLINES SALVATION SHOW
Tones of TV news today, people, and don't forget that this Sunday I will be bringing you the updates on all 2014 TV pilots with castings revealed! First, today, our dearest Ashley Judd will again topline a show after THE MISSING. According to 'Deadline' she will now lead the cast in new NBC drama SALVATION! When Mega-Church Pastor Daniel Strickland suddenly dies, his loyal wife, Jennifer Strickland (Ashley Judd), must rally to keep their family together and save the church. Stark Sands will play Paul Strickland, the heir apparent to Daniel’s evangelical empire who suffers from a chronic stutter and might have played a role in his dad’s death. Meg Steedle will play Stricklands’ eldest daughter who is married to a Congressman and pregnant with her third child.
JOHN RHYS DAVIES JOINS 'HIEROGLYPH' EPIC SERIES

And our most anticipated of the future shows, Ancient Egypt set HIEROGLYPH at Fox, has added our favourite dwarf from LORD OF THE RINGS John Rhys Davies to the cast. Set in ancient Egypt, where fantasy and reality intertwined, it follows a notorious thief who is plucked from prison to serve the Pharaoh (Reece Ritchie), navigating palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and even a few divine sorcerers. Rhys Davies will play Vocifer, the thief's one-time mentor who was a dashing thief back in his day.

'BOYCHOIR' GATHERS

Deadline also reports that Francois Girard's new drama BOYCHOIR  has added Debra Winger, Josh Lucas, Eddie Izzard and Kevin McHale, alongside Dustin Hoffman. It will follow an angry young boy who is completely out of his element in the new school and finds himself in a battle of wills with a demanding choir master Carvelle (Dustin Hoffman) who recognizes a unique talent in the kid and pushes him. Josh Lucas will play the boy’s estranged father, with Kevin McHale as a young music teacher who champions the kid. Debra Winger is the principal at the boy’s Texas school, and Izzard is a teacher at the new school. Kathy Bates has a supporting role as the school’s headmistress.

Tones of casting news today, people! Starting with the most adorable Lily Collins (MIRROR MIRROR, MORTAL INSTRUMENTS) who is apparently in negotiations to star in HOW TO BE SINGLE! According to 'The Hollywood Reporter' the movie will be a romantic comedy consisting of multiple love stories based on the book by Liz Tuccillo. The movie will follow the love lives and breakups of a group of New Yorkers over the course of a decade. Drew Barrymore is producing.

JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT

'TO WALK THE CLOUDS'
Deadline writes that Joseph Gordon Levitt will star in TO WALK THE CLOUDS movie to be directed by Robert Zemeckis. To be shot in 3D like AVATAR and LIFE OF PI, the movie will revolve around French tightrope walker, Philippe Petit. The daring high-wire artist is the focus of the story which describes how he and his co-conspirators ascended the World Trade Center in 1974 to make his famous trek between the two towers.
JENNIFER LAWRENCE IN 'EAST OF EDEN'
Meanwhile, a new big screen adaptation of famous novel EAST OF EDEN by John Steinbeck is moving forward with Jennifer Lawrence in the cast. Gary Ross (SEABISCUIT, PLEASANTVILLE, HUNGER GAMES) will both write and direct the movie  which, set in California's Salinas Valley before World War I,  tells the story of two families over the course of two generations, loosely alluding to the biblical tale of Cain and Abel, focusing on a father, his two sons, and the children's mother, whom they thought was dead. Jennifer Lawrence will play the mother.

'POINT BREAK' REMAKE

Although most people think that the remake of a rather forgettable movie is an ever worse form of any other remake, the one on POINT BREAK is still happening! The 1991 action movie directed by Kathryn Bigelow which starred Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves will get a new version following a young undercover FBI agent who infiltrates a gang of thieves who share a common interest in extreme sports. Gerard Butler is already attached to star and now he will be joined by Luke Bracey (GI JOE RETALIATION) who will play the young FBI agent. Butler portrays Bodhi who seeks nirvana by living on the edge, and is responsible for inducting the undercover agent into the criminal circle.

I do another round of consultation with my aesthetician. I'm too hairy everywhere so I decided to just do a full body hair removal!

Just like the branch at Tanjong Pagar, the Adelphi branch is also extremely minimalist with no fancy decorations at all. Just a basic bed, and all the other necessities.

The famous DEKA machine from Italy will remove my unwanted hairs...

This is the "beans" gel that will be applied on my whole body later. It not only moisturizes your skin and is really expensive, it will also make your skin fairer!!!




AND SO WE START!!!

For the full body removal, I start by lying on my front, completely naked.

I felt very self conscious about my nether regions being exposed to all, but I barely had any time to panic. I had 3 aestheticians working on me at once so that I can be done in less than one hour, and they all worked so well with one another!!!


While a person is shaving, another is applying gel and another is shooting laser beams at me. With so many things going on at once, my skin couldn't even understand what exactly was going on where.

I FELT NO PAIN AT ALL. NONE.


In fact, I actually LIKED it when the machine goes off because it makes my skin feel a little warm, and I felt quite cold!!


And suddenly, my back was done so I flipped over.


When they say "full body hair removal", they REALLY mean full body. I had my ENTIRE body shaved and lasered, including my breasts!!! It felt quite weird to be honest lol

When it was time to do the brazilian area, I panicked.

Even though the rest of the body felt really painless so far, I IPL-ed the brazilian area before at other salons and it hurt so much I almost screamed!!! It felt like someone was stabbing me down there with a hot long needle! I suddenly recalled that unpleasant sensation and wondered if Datsumo Labo will be the same.

I clenched my teeth as my aesthetician nonchalantly went on with that area as she did everywhere else. I waited for the pain to come.


NOTHING.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I couldn't believe it!!!!!!!! HOW CAN IT BE??


And just like that, my whole body was done.


My whole body felt so soft and smooth thanks to the beans gel too. There was absolutely no sign that I went through permanent hair removal, which was supposed to hurt and be unpleasant. In fact, I felt pampered and cozy.

I LOVE IT!!

All's great, Datsumo is affordable and all... BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION ON EVERYONE'S MIND...

DOES IT WORK??

Here's a BEFORE picture of my arm hairs... Told you arm hairy!!! (LOL I'm sounds like arm, geddit hehehehe)

During the treatment they shaved me. Afterwards, the hairs grow out and those that got lasered will fall off by themselves.

Hairs have cycles - they grow, reach their maximum length, then fall off naturally. So at any point, some follicles on our skin do not have hair in them, and that's because they fell out and are growing back again.

These empty follicles cannot be IPL-ed because light therapy works via the contrast of dark hair against fair skin. To not be too technical, this means IPL works via doing it several rounds so you manage to shut all the follicles down!


One month after my session, my arm has lost almost 70% of hair:

In fact, the hairs remaining are so fine and sparse that they can hardly be seen!!!!!!!!

This is my disgusting leg:

After two sessions, I've lost about 80% of my leg hair. See the hairs near my ankles? If I never went for treatment, my leg hair is even denser than what you see near the ankles!!

He has scored the lead role in upcoming ABC new series FOREVER in which he will portray Dr. Henry Morgan, New York City’s star medical examiner. His investigative work with Detective Jo Martinez and relationship with best friend Abe (Judd Hirsch) will peel back the layers of Henry’s colorful and long life. In other TV updates 'Deadline' reports that Michael Stahl David (CLOVERFIELD 8) will take the lead role next to Christine Woods in NBC's new sitcom TWO TO GO in which they will play longtime best friends Kurt (Stahl-David) and Laura (Woods), who grapple with the challenges of modern-day dating while their group of friends try and prove that they are destined to be together.

Some time ago I've announced that NBC has bought the rights on popular Spanish comedy crime drama series THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA which they are now adapting into an American television version. They have now found the lead actress too: Debra Messing will take the role of Laura Diamond, a female homicide detective who can handle murderous criminals — but not her hell-raising twin children. The series will follow her life and relationships. The show will be set in New York and as you know Debra Messing already worked with NBC before being the star of their sitcom WILL AND GRACE.

In other television news, here's something from the comedy department: 'Deadline' reports that Elisha Cuthbert has joined Nick Zano in NBC's new sitcom ONE BIG HAPPY! Produced by Ellen DegGeneres,  the new comedy centres on two platonic friends since childhood — a lesbian, Lizzy (Cuthbert), and her straight male best friend, Luke (Zano) — who have been living together and trying to have a baby via artificial insemination for some time. They finally get pregnant — just as Luke meets and impulsively marries the love of his life.

300 RISE OF AN EMPIRE

Your photo treat for this Monday are new images showing the valiant and courageous warriors of Sparta and Athens in upcoming epic sequel 300 RISE OF AN EMPIRE. Among the warriors in the original film we had Gerard Butler and Michael Fassbender who later on became superstars, will that happen again? Australian star Sullivan Stapleton is leading them this time as brave general Themistokles and he is also surrounded by Australian actors Callan Mulvey as Scyllias, David Wenham as Dillios and with Scottish actor Hans Matheson as Aesyklos alongside Jack O'Connell as Calysto. Opening in cinemas this March, the film starts after the fall of King Leonidas' 300, when the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) marches towards the major Greek city-states. Themistokles is forced to an  unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land especially when his fleet is lead by vengeful general Arthemisia (Eva Green).

This Autumn we shall watch the stunningly handsome Brit in epic movie NORTHMEN A VIKING SAGA in which he is again using swords and shields and sporting his bulging muscles and his 2 metres tall body.

Naive doesn't go for his lady skills, since girls definitely love to chase him around the streets of Paris.
