In TV news, Deadline reports that ABC will adapt Rachel Cohn's bestselling fantasy saga BETA into TV series. The story is set in the near future when clones have become the enslaved work force for the wealthy. But when a new Beta model is introduced and
discovers the dark truth about her own origins, she also begins to uncover secrets and lies within the utopian island community she’s serving.
'HIERO- GLYPH' ANCIENT EGYPT SHOW
And it seems that after KING TUT upcoming show, we shall watch another one set in ancient Egypt: Fox has officially ordered 13 episodes of HIEROGLYPH, a fantastical historical adventure set in ancient Egypt, where fantasy and reality intertwined. It follows a notorious thief who is plucked from prison to serve the Pharaoh, navigating palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and even a few divine sorcerers. The show comes from Travis Beacham who wrote CLASH OF THE TITANS and PACIFIC RIM.

then follows him as a grown man too, when he must fight off a ruthless corporation seeking to harvest a powerful energy source from his home.
