I have new info for you today from the casting process of new ancient Egyptian epic GODS OF EGYPT! Young Brenton Thwaites has
joined Gerard Butler, Geoffrey Rush and Nikolaj Coster Waldau. Gerard Butler will play Set, god of the desert and storms who kills his own brother Osiris after which he gets in conflict with Horus (Coster-Waldau), the son of Osiris and god of sky, who seeks revenge together with Hathor, goddess of love. 'Deadline' reports that Thwaites will play Bek, a human thief who cares little for the affairs of gods but when he discovers his love has been cursed by Set, he falls on the side of Horus, hoping that Set’s death will break the curse! Geoffrey Rush will play Ra, the God of the Sun who is father to both Set and Osiris, and also Set's ultimate target. Thwaites has a number of big roles in the future: he's a prince in Angelina Jolie's MALEFICENT and also plays the lead in fantasy movie THE GIVER next to Meryl Streep, Taylor Swift and Jeff Bridges.
