NBC is planning to revive one of the most successful series in TV history about the astute amateur detective! The story of the new show will follow a hospital administrator and amateur sleuth (Octavia Spencer) who self-publishes her first mystery novel. Set in a day where sensational headlines inundate the news, this woman’s avid fascination with true crime leads her to become an active participant in the investigations.

Now here's a delightful project: Digital Spy reports that BBC is ready to start shooting their one hour TV film GANGSTA GRANNY based on David Walliams' bestselling novel. Famous Miss Marple Julia McKenzie will play the grandma whose grandson (Reece Buttery) becomes bored after coming to live with her.  However, she soon tells him the story of when she used to be an international jewel thief, before they join forces to complete the big heist she never completed. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS Joanna Lumley will play the Queen of England, with Miranda Hart and David Walliams playing his parents and Rob Brydon will play nosy neighbour Mr Parker, who could end up ruining the robbery plan.
