According to "Variety" the latest one to join epic drama 12 YEARS A SLAVE is Sherlock Holmes Benedict Cumberbatch who is currently busy shooting STAR TREK 2 as a villain.  Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Paul Dano are already in The cast of the story which follows a free

man living in New York during the mid-1800s who is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the deep south. He ends up on a plantation in Louisiana from which he will be rescued only 12 years later. Ejiofor plays the lead role, while Dano will be his slave owner. The film will be directed by famous Steve McQueen and produced by Brad Pitt (who may or may not star in it as well).
